How To Spend Your Retirement Funds Buying Things You Already Have

Somewhere in the 591 sq feet in which we live, Don and I have, two nice pairs of kitchen shears, numerous pairs of reading glasses, a couple duplicate packages of same size wood screws, three to four pairs of one-size-fits-all women's winter gloves, two cans of lemon Pledge (oh, look, I already had some of that), three tubes of super-like glue, two rolls of electricians tape etc., etc.  We don't have a place for everthing and everything in it's place, which becomes more of a problem when memory and attention span is getting shorter and shorter.  This is one aspect of aging that drives me into moments of insanity.  This is how it works, take sandpaper for example.  We are at Lowe's or Home Depot when "oh look, we need sandpaper to sand that thingy, you know the thingy we use for the other thingy."  To which one of us replies, "Right, lets get some." Then the other one says, "I think we already have sandpaper at home." "We do?" "Yeah, remember we got some when we sanded that, well I can't remember what we sanded but we still have that."  "Are you sure?"  "Hmm, maybe we used it all, better get some just in case."  There goes more of our retirement money.
